Travis Macias
Director
Travis leads MST Nevada with a vision of making quality mining training accessible to all Nevadans. With almost 30 years of underground mining experience and hands-on participation in training programs, Travis understands what it takes to build a skilled workforce. Under his leadership, MST Nevada has become a trusted partner for mining companies across the state. Travis is passionate about creating pathways into the mining industry for people from all backgrounds and ensuring Nevada has the skilled workforce it needs for the future.

Morgan Roberts
Mine Skills Instructor
Morgan brings almost 20 years of hands-on mining experience to every training session. Starting as an entry-level miner, Morgan has worked through various operational roles, including time on the mine rescue team. Morgan understands the challenges new miners face and the skills they need to succeed. Known for a patient teaching style and practical approach, Morgan ensures every student leaves with confidence in their abilities. When not in the training center, he serves as a Volunteer Firefighter in Elko.

Administrative Assistant
Kelsey is the friendly face and voice that keeps MST Nevada running smoothly. With a background in customer service and operations, Kelsey ensures that every student and partner has an excellent experience from first contact through course completion. Handling scheduling, registrations, and communications with attention to detail and a warm demeanor, Kelsey makes the training process seamless. Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys hiking Nevada's trails and is an avid supporter of local community events.

Sheena Mallea
Business Development
Sheena Hansen-Mallea is a strategic partner to mining companies across Nevada, helping them strengthen workforce capability through targeted training and advisory solutions. With extensive experience in mining operations, contractor management, supply chain management, and business development, she works directly with leadership teams to identify gaps, streamline training approaches, and improve safety and compliance outcomes. Her results-driven approach has played a key role in expanding MST Nevada's impact across the region. Outside of MST, Sheena enjoys time with her family, professionally competing in barrel racing with her performance horses, and managing her equine businesses.
